Please Note: As of the 0.19 update, Escort will no longer be a permanent game mode.

You can join an Escort game by selecting the Play button on the bottom right-hand side of your Home screen.

In Escort, one Squad will automatically be assigned as the Attackers, while the other Squad will be assigned as the Defenders.

For Attackers

The goal is to escort the Payload to its destination before the timer runs out. The route is split into two halves with a checkpoint in the middle, where the countdown will be extended if the attacking team makes it in time.

Attacking Hunters can push the Payload forward by being near it. Attacking team only requires 2 players to move the Payload at maximum speed. When close to the Payload, a perimeter circle will be visible to let you know when you're within the radius to push the Payload. If you are within the radius and in control of the payload, then you are healed.

For Defenders

The goal is to prevent the Attackers from pushing the Payload to its destination. If the Defenders are near the Payload, or if it is not being escorted by anyone when the timer runs out, the Defenders will win.

If the Defenders occupy the Payload, it will move back towards the start. If both Defenders and Attackers occupy the Payload, it will remain stationary and a Contested alert will appear.

If time runs out, but the Attackers have ownership of the Payload, the game will go into Overtime. In Overtime, the Attackers must maintain full control of the Payload until they reach either the midway checkpoint, where more time will be added, or deliver the Payload in order to win. If the Defenders gain ownership during Overtime, they will win.

For Payload

Payload starts rolling back after 10 seconds if Attackers do not remain within the Payload boundary, while the Defenders’ proximity does not push back the Payload.

If a Payload starts rolling backwards, it moves at a single consistent speed regardless of any Defenders near it.
