If you are experiencing issues with Latency such as connection issues, slow controller response, and lagging while playing your online matches, we recommend testing your internet connection:
1. Tap the System Settings from your home screen
2. Then scroll down to “Internet” and tap “Test Connection” to test your NAT Type and Download Speed.
Nat Type
- Type A or B works well for connecting with other players
- Type C may experience difficulty connecting with other players
- Type D can only connect with players with NAT Type A
- Type F will not be able to connect with other players
Download Speed
The recommended Download Speed for gaming online is 3 Mbps.
If your NAT Type falls under Type D and Type F, or if your Download Speed is below 3 Mbps, it may cause you to experience Latency issues while trying to play online. To avoid Latency issues, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Restart your network devices.
- Make sure that your device is connected through LAN. Double check if your LAN cable is not damaged.
- If you play through a WiFi connection, make sure your router is on. Additionally, try not to play too far away from it, as you may lose the WiFi signal.
- Make sure that no other applications or devices are using your network bandwidth.
- If you are still getting a Download Speed that is lower than 3 Mbps, please contact your Internet Service Provider for further assistance.
