Victor Vane, a renowned experimental chef, had cultivated a rare watermelon variety on your farm. One morning, he found chaos—his prized watermelon patch in disarray. Seeking answers, he enlisted the help of his friend, Jim Jade, a Private Eye. While inspecting the Watermelon patch, Jade stumbled upon a series of peculiar footprints leading away from the crime scene. The footprints were small and round, resembling those of a tiny animal. Intrigued, Jim Jade followed the trail, determined to uncover where it led. Help Jim Jade in uncovering this mystery and make some delicious watermelon recipes!
The feature unlocks at Level 15 or higher. A pop-up inviting you to Solve the Melon Mystery event will appear on your screen. If you cannot see the event, you may need to force close the game or reboot your device to see the latest update.
You can also access this feature by tapping on the detective button at the screen’s right side.
Jim Jade has set Inquiry Tents next to Victor Vane’s farm to work on his investigation. Let’s go and assist him.
One tent is unlocked at the beginning of the event. The other tents will be unlocked after a few days, but you can also unlock them immediately using Keys or by getting the Mystery Master Pass. Once all Tents are unlocked, you can have a parallel progression in the feature.
You will need Tools to start your investigation. There are three (3) kinds of Tools that can help you uncover different types of Clues. The chance for the Clue drop is random, and collecting Clues will help you uncover the whole story.
- Magnifier - Use this to collect Minor Clues
- Camera - Use this to collect Mid Clues
- Binocular - Use this to collect Major Clues
How to obtain Tools:
Magnifiers can be crafted at the Toolshed using Coins.
Only Magnifiers can be crafted in the Toolshed. For Tools other than the Magnifier such as the Camera and Binoculars, you must reinvestigate a Minor Clue or Mid Clue. You can obtain a Camera whenever you reinvestigate a Minor Clue. Reinvestigation happens whenever you uncover a duplicate Clue.
You can get a Binocular each time you find a Mid Clue, which happens whenever you uncover a duplicate Mid Clue
How to start an investigation:
Drag a Tool to a Tent to start an investigation.
An investigation is limited to a specific number of hours, depending on the Clue you are investigating. The tent will be closed when the timer ends, and your efforts will be wasted. So, be sure to keep an eye on it.
Complete Orders to reveal Clues:
- Complete 3 Orders to reveal Minor Clues
- Complete 5 Orders to reveal Mid Clues
- Complete 7 Orders to reveal Major Clues
You have two options to proceed with your investigation: use keys to examine the current clue or discard it to enter a tent cooldown state.
You can instantly complete an Order using Keys or Inquiry Aid Tokens.
Collect up to 3 Inquiry Aid Tokens daily from your Co-op.
Earn exciting rewards each time you complete Today’s Goal.
To remove Orders that you find difficult, use the X button here. A new Order will appear after 10 minutes, or you can use Keys to skip the wait time.
Temporary Place of Interest: The Detective’s Lair
The Detective’s Lair is a temporary area where you can get rare event items needed in each Watermelon recipe.
Use the Golden Watch Boost to double the rare items you get from all foraging spots for 1 hour.

You can purchase Jim Jade and/or Victor Vane as temporary Farmhands to help you during the event. You’ll have a higher chance of finding rare event items and more by using these Farmhands.
Note: Jim Jade and Victor Vane are temporary Farmhands and will leave your farm when the event ends.
