Racers! Update 0.31 is almost here! Read up on all the changes you can expect to see when the update goes live 👇
Improved Race Menu 📺
Game modes are now categorised into distinct tabs in the event browser.
Tabs include: Season Tour, Campaign, Supplies, Dailies, Multiplayer, Team Up, Legend Circuit
Navigation Bar: Added a bottom bar to the screen to allow for easier menu navigation so players can quickly jump to the area they are interested in.
Aftermarket Mods ⚙️
Simplified Upgrades: All stages of Aftermarket Mods upgrades will now require only Common Bolts.
Bolt conversion rates remain unchanged.
Perks are no longer attached to Mods and have been removed from the game for the time being.
Upgrades & Progression 🛠️
Upgrade costs have been updated to reflect the difference in Rarity and Performance of cars, simplifying the overall upgrade process:
Uncommon cars are now much cheaper to upgrade.
Rare cars stay roughly the same as they were.
Epic and Legendary cars are slightly more expensive to upgrade.
Part Rarity has been simplified to have just 1 rarity per category (Bolts, Wheels, Focus Class ECUs, etc.) to have just 1 rarity per category.
Higher rarity parts will be converted into lower rarity ones with a multiplier based on rarity.
Focus Class ECUs are now an occasional requirement at specific high stages of car upgrades instead of a requirement at every stage.
Event unlock PWR thresholds have been reworked.
If you do not have enough PWR according to the new unlocks, you will temporarily lose access to that feature until you meet the requirement. Your underlying progress will not disappear!
Economy 🪙
As we continue to refine the game's economy in Update 0.31, we are making a definitive change to how you expand your garage. In this release, the ability to purchase car credits for Gold in the marketplace is being removed.
We are moving away from direct purchases to put greater emphasis on having car credits earned through gameplay. To support this, we're introducing:
New events (like The Invitational)
New Focus Class Import Crates
Additional Season Pass rewards tailored to help you acquire new car credits.
This shift also sets the stage for the next tier of Legendary icons coming soon to Halo Mastery.
