Yes, you can purchase Gems from the "Gem Store" page. Simply click the Gem icon in the lobby.

You can also purchase Gems by visiting the "Hit it Rich! store" in the game. Just tap the "Buy Coins" button in the lobby and then click the "Buy Gems" button to go to the Gem Store.
