You can modify your notification settings in Words with Friends at any time. 

In order to make sure you control how you would like notification to be set on your device, we recommend reviewing your settings both in Game and on your Device

IN Game  
  • Go to " Settings" (you can find the settings menu from your profile Page or by scrolling down from the main menu) 
  • Look for the " Notification" section and opt in or out based on your preferences 

NB: You may be offered different options depending on your operating system.
ON YOUR DEVICE  

Here is how to manage your general device notifications and choose whether or not you want to be notified when it is your turn:

iOS Devices 
  • Go to " Settings
  • Go to " Notifications
  • Tap on the application you want to manage 
  • Turn on/off " Allow Notifications

Android Devices
  • Go to " Settings
  • Go to " Apps" or " Application Manager
  • Tap on the application you want to manage 
  • Activate/deactivate the checkbox for " Show Notifications

Kindle Fire Devices 

(Steps may vary depending on the device)  
  • Swipe down from the top of the screen 
  • Tap " More" >  Applications > " Notification Settings
  • Turn notifications on/off for your app 

or 
  • Swipe down from the top of the screen 
  • Tap " Settings" > " Notifications & Quiet Time
  • Tap on the application you want to manage 
  • Turn notifications on/off 

Windows Phone Devices
  • On " Start" swipe left to the Application list 
  • Tap " Settings" > " Notifications + actions
  • Tap on the application you want to manage 
  • Turn on/off " Show in action centre

Note: The instructions in this article cover general device settings only. Some games may have additional notification settings inside the app. In addition to the steps above we recommend reviewing any notification settings inside your app as well. 

Steps vary by game and platform; they can usually be found in your game's "
Settings" or "Options" menu under "Notifications", "Account" or "Alerts".

NB: If you need to change the volume for your notification alerts, go to "Sounds" on your device settings
