Precautions to safeguard your computer and mobile device from hackers and other threats should always be taken to protect your information. We recommend that you set up the Two-Factor Authentication on your Facebook profile. If you set up two-factor authentication, you'll be asked to enter a unique login code or confirm your login attempt each time someone tries accessing your Facebook account from an unrecognized device.
How to activate Two-factor authentication:
On Mobile
- Tap the Hamburger  Menu in your Facebook application. Menu in your Facebook application.

- Choose "Two-factor authentication", and choose an account to set up two-factor authentication. 
   
- Choose the security method you want to add and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   
On Web:
- Go to Facebook and click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the page. 
- Select Settings & Privacy (Gear icon). Then, click on Settings. 
- From the left side of the page, click on Security and Login. 
- Scroll down to see the Two-Factor Authentication section and click Edit. 
   
- Choose the security method you want to add and follow the on-screen instructions.
