It‘s very important to have Information Security on your computer. Your cell phone includes the advantage of being able to use Login Approvals. This is a great feature put out by Facebook to help keep your account safe!

Below is a list of security steps that need to be taken before a full investigation is completed.

(PC and MAC Players)
From Within Google Chrome

1. Click the icon on the far right of your browser marked by three vertical dots.
2. Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
3. Click on "Privacy and Security" on the left-hand side of the page.
4. Click on "Cookies and other site data" under Privacy.
5. Make sure that ”Allow all Cookies” is selected and then close this browser tab.

(PC Players)

1. Click Tools > Options.

2. Click Privacy in the top panel.

3. Set "Firefox will:" to Use custom settings for history.

4. Check the box next to "Accept cookies from sites" to enable cookies.

5. Click OK.

(Mac Players)

1. Go to the Firefox drop-down menu.

2. Select Preferences.

3. Click Privacy.

4. Set "Firefox will:" to Use custom settings for history.

5. Check the box next to "Accept cookies from sites" to enable cookies.

6. Click OK.

If you had to enable the cookies for a browser, it may take a few days before you will be able to proceed with the following steps.

1. On Facebook, click on the drop-down button and select "Settings."

2. Select Security from the options located on the left.

3. Click "Where you're logged in" to display all devices that have logged into your Facebook account.

4. Click on "End All Activity" and save your changes.

3. Click Edit, located across from Login Approvals.

4. Click the box next to require me to enter a security code sent to my phone 

5. A pop-up appears asking you for the Home Location and your Cell Phone Number: enter the information, select Send me a text, and click Continue.

That’s it! That computer is now recognized as your Main Computer. If someone tries to log in to your account from another location or device, they will be prompted to input a security code that will be sent to the cell phone number you put in earlier.
