Fertilizer is a bonus gift you give to friends and neighbors by visiting their islands.
There are two ways to visit islands:
- Through your neighbor list.
- Via the Global Trading window.
NEIGHBOR LIST: Tap on the “Neighbors” icon in the lower right corner of the screen. When your list of neighbors appears, tap the profile picture of a player and tap on “Visit Island.”
GLOBAL TRADING WINDOW: Tap on a player portrait and tap on “Visit Island”.
When you visit another island, you’ll see green markers indicating where fertilizer can be used.
Tap on the green marker to use fertilizer there. Once you’ve used fertilizer, the green marker will go away. You have 10 fertilizer a day to use. The counter in the upper left corner shows how many you’ve used and how many you have left. You can use them all in one place, or spread them across numerous islands until gone.
When your friends check their island, they’ll see markers that show who fertilized their crops, trees, or animals. They receive extra output when they harvest them.
You receive rewards for using fertilizer. You’ll often win Sunshine from using all 10 fertilizer.
Hopefully, your friends will return the favor! You get extra output when you harvest crops, trees, or animals fertilized by your friend or neighbors. You’ll see their portraits above the crop they fertilized for you.
Remember to spread a little joy (and fertilizer) every day.
