Buying a car

When buying a new ride it is important to remember that performance is as important as looks. Take a look at the car’s overall rating (1), which you can find at the top-centre of the screen. Next to the car’s rating you'll also find its Tier (2). For example, T1 would be Tier 1.

If you try to use a higher tier car in a lower tier, you'll notice that it can only be used in Regulation Races. For example, a Tier 5 car can only be used in Regulation Races in Tiers 1-4.

Why are some cars only available for Gold?

Not all vehicles in CSR Racing can be purchased using Cash. Certain special cars can only be obtained using Gold.

Upgrades

Your car may blitz the opposition at first, but you’ll need to upgrade it to keep on winning. To do this, hit the Upgrade option in the main menu. The car you have equipped will be the one you are upgrading.

Scroll through the different parts by dragging your finger across the bottom of the screen. Remember that sometimes increasing certain aspects of your vehicle may not be the best decision. For example, upgrading your car's Power to level 5 before improving your tires will make it harder to grip the road - something you want to avoid you.

To change the Stage of your upgrades, tap the arrows on the top right side of the screen (1) and select Fit (2) at the desired level. If you haven't already bought the upgrade it will cost you Cash or Gold, and you might have to wait for it to be delivered.

Decals

Decals will help you to earn more CSR Cash while racing. When purchasing decals you will be able to see the bonus they provide on the right-hand side of the screen.

Decals will give lower rewards when used in lower tiers. So a Tier 5 car would receive a smaller decal bonus if you use it in Tier 4 race.

License Plates

Personalized licence plates can be bought from the Customize screen. A purchased plate can only be fitted to the selected vehicle, but it gives your ride that unique touch.
