Perfect starts

During the countdown, tap or hold down the accelerate button (1) so that your shift indicator's lights (2) turn green. Stay in the green when the countdown finishes to get a Perfect Start! 

Shifting

You will need to go up a gear whenever the Shift Indicator (2) turns green. If you are successful then you will receive a Perfect Shift, change too early or too late when the indicator is red and you'll lose precious speed. 

Boosting

Nitrous is key to winning a race, but it is not only about having the best upgrade, when you use it is also key. Hit the Nitrous Button (3) on the left to give yourself a massive boost.

The best time to use Nitrous depends on the car and race you are in. The best racers wait until the Wheelspin Indicator (4) stops flashing before using their Nitrous.
