Buying a car

When buying a new ride it's important to remember that your car's performance is as important as its looks. Take a look at the car’s overall rating (1), which you can find at the top-center of the screen. Next to the car’s rating you''ll also find its Tier (2). For example, T1 would be Tier 1.

If you try to use a higher tier car in a lower tier, you'll notice that it can only be used in Regulation Races. For example, a Tier 5 car can only be used in Regulation Races in Tiers 1-4.

Remember that when the time comes to buy a ride, you have the option to go straight for a loved car, which comes with some upgrades already fitted. Unloved cars aren't upgraded, but they are a little cheaper. You can toggle between loved and unloved cars by tapping either symbol (3).

Upgrades

Your car may blitz the opposition at first, but you’ll need to upgrade it to keep on winning. To do this, hit the Upgrade option in the main menu. The car you have equipped will be the one you are upgrading.

Scroll through the different parts by dragging your finger across the bottom of the screen. Remember that fully upgrading one part while ignoring others may not necessarily be the smartest option. For example, maxing out your car's Power before improving your grip will make it harder to keep traction on the road - something you want to avoid you.

To change the Stage of your upgrades, tap the arrows on the top right side of the screen (1) and select Fit (2) at the desired level. If you haven't already bought the upgrade it will cost you cash or gold, and you might have to wait a few minutes for it to be delivered.

Paint and Decals:

Decals will help you to earn more CSR Classics Cash while racing. When purchasing decals you will be able to see the bonus they provide on the right-hand side of the screen.

Decals will give lower rewards when used in lower tiers. So, for example a Tier 5 car would receive a smaller decal bonus if you use it in Tier 4 race.

You can unlock more paint colours and decals by upgrading your car's body.

License Plates

Personalised licence plates can be bought from the Customize screen. A purchased plate can only be fitted to the selected vehicle, but it gives your ride that unique touch.
