If you race a car in a tier that's lower than the car's tier rating, the decal bonus will be adjusted to account for the fact the race is easier. For example, racing a Tier 5 car in a Tier 4 event will mean a reduction in your decal bonus. Race the same car in a Tier 5 event and you'll receive the full bonus
