First, tap the Punch Bag icon in the Ninja Kit. Select which Punch Bag you wish to use and place it in the environment. 

 

Now pick up the Punch Bag with your finger. Hold it in the sparring area, which is marked with a circle on the ground, and the Ninja with start training.
