Introducing the new competitive game mode in Quick Play Events!

Words Rivals is a Player versus Player game wherein players take turns in making moves on the same game board.

How do I play?

You will be matched randomly to players who are using the same Word Rivals game board design.

You and your opponent will take turns making moves ruled by a short-timer. Powerups and Word Strength are not available in Word Rivals. Whoever attains the highest score at the end of 5 rounds is the winner.

What is tile drafting?

During your opponent’s turn, you can fill your tile rack by selecting each new tile out of 2 options.

Like other Quick Play Event minigames, Word Rivals requires a ticket to play and award stars upon completion based on whether you win, lose or tie.

Word Rivals has a default gameboard design but can also use custom gameboards. Like Duels, Word Rivals will NOT have banner ads as it could distract from the timed gameplay experience.

Both players can resign anytime, but the remaining player wins. To learn more about Quick Play Events, please visit this link.
