Letter Lock is a new puzzle mode in Words With Friends where players create words by moving columns of letters vertically to unlock more columns and create longer words.

   

How long do I have to complete the Letter Lock?

Letter Lock will be available for 24 hours and refreshes daily at 12am Pacific Time. There is also a timer within Letter Lock that tracks the amount of time it takes to complete. Timer is only active while you are in the puzzle and will pause when you exit.

How do you progress in Letter Lock?

Manipulate each column of letters to create valid words. There’s a Word Count progress bar at the top of the gameboard which indicates the number of valid words you must find to unlock additional columns.

How do I know which words I’ve already found?

These will appear in the found word list on the gameboard.

When is Letter Lock considered complete?

The puzzle is complete when you unlock all columns and reach the required word count goal for each word length (i.e. 4-letter words, 5-letter words, etc).
