Why will Harry Potter Puzzles & Spells no longer be available on Facebook?
Facebook is sunsetting its Canvas gaming platform which impacts the Harry Potter game’s availability. However the full game is available on mobile (accessible from iOS, Android or Amazon tablets) with no changes
What is Facebook Canvas and why is it shutting down?
For many years, our game has lived on a part of Facebook called the Canvas. This was a special "window" in your web browser that allowed our game to run smoothly while you played on Facebook. Facebook has decided to retire the Canvas platform on September 30, 2026.
Will I lose my progress?
Not at all. Your progress, inventory, coins, power ups are all tied to your account. To ensure you keep your progress, when you log in to the mobile app, you’ll login using your same credentials and everything should be exactly how you left it.
Help, the game won’t load on Facebook anymore. Have I lost my account?
Don't worry, your progress is safe. Due to changes with Facebook, Canvas and Desktop are no longer available. Your account is ready and waiting for you on our mobile app. All you need to do is download Harry Potter Puzzles & Spells from the App Store or Google Play, log in with the same credentials, and you’ll pick up right where you left off.
I played on Facebook before, but I want to use my new email address.
If you log in with an email that is different from the one on your Facebook account, you will start as a "New Player." To keep your original progress, please make sure to "Sign in with Facebook" or use the exact same email associated with your Facebook profile.
