Marie received a special request from the Town's Santa. He found enchanting butterflies that only appear during the Christmas season, and has named each one after his favorite holiday carols. The town Santa asks Marie to nurture these butterflies to spread Christmas cheer.

Each butterfly will serve as a reminder of the joy, love, and magic of the season, capturing the true spirit of Christmas through their presence.

The Butterfly Friends feature will be available to a certain number of Farmers who are at least level 30 or higher. It will run from November 20, 2024 to December 17, 2024.

Let’s visit the Terrarium set up by the waterfalls to start hatching butterfly eggs!

This feature can also be accessed by tapping on the handshake button in the sidebar menu on the left side of the screen.

You’ll need a Workbench to place a Terrarium on and begin nurturing butterflies. Each Terrarium can only be occupied by one (1) butterfly. Unlock additional Workbenches using Coins and Gems to work on multiple Terrariums.

Feeding

Butterflies will need to be fed in order to grow and evolve. Feeding requires either farm produce or crafted items.

Having trouble supplying the required feed? Use the trash bin button to delete the current required feed. You will need to wait for an hour before you can feed again, or you can use Gems to refresh it right away.

You can also use Gems to reveal the further upcoming required feed. This can help you prepare the feed early, and this option will only reveal an upcoming feed once.

Note: Revealing the third slot is not permanent. You’ll need to spend Gems again if you would like to reveal other further upcoming required feed.

Earn Growth Points every time you feed at each stage, and you will reach a milestone upon collecting enough Growth Points. Butterflies will undergo four (4) stages of evolution, and you will receive a reward each time they evolve. Complete the stages to fill the meter and to discover the butterfly.

Upon reaching a milestone, evolution will begin and you’ll need to wait for a few hours before you can start feeding it again. You also have the option to skip waiting time using Flutter Power.

At the same time, skipping will also activate Growth Boost at the start of the next stage.

Always keep an eye on the Terrarium Expiry timer as your only option is to reset it once the time runs out and all your efforts will go to waste.

Each egg will hatch a different variant of butterflies. Win amazing rewards every time you complete each group of species, and get even more rewards when you discover them all! Tap on the Album button to view your collection.

A Collection Corner is available in your Stored Decorations. You can place it on your farm, and you may also access the Album with it. If you have played the previous season of Butterfly Friends, there’s also an option to view your first collection.

You can view your butterfly collection on the Album. There are a total of eighteen (18) butterflies to be discovered, divided into six (6) groups with three (3) butterflies each. You can start collecting butterflies for season 1 upon completing the album for season 2 butterflies. Keep playing!

Duplicate Butterflies

There is a chance of getting a duplicate butterfly when hatching a pupa with your partner. When this happens, you can tap on the Exchange button to get a random different butterfly that you haven’t discovered yet.

After completing your Butterfly Album, you can still continue accepting partnerships and help your friends. Upon fully growing a butterfly, you can sell it for Coins.

Playing with a Partner

Invite another farmer or a friend as a partner to grow butterflies faster.

Tap on Find, and the game will find a partner for you or you can Invite a partner of your choice directly.

If you tap on Invite, you can send invites to a Friend, a Follower, anyone from your Co-op, or any other Farmer who you recently partnered with.

You will be notified if someone sends you an invite. If you missed this pop-up notification, you can find it in the list to join partners when starting a new Terrarium.

When starting a new Terrarium and you have pending invites from other players, you will be given the option to Start New or accept an invitation and Join a partner.

You can also tap on the partner bubble button in the top left corner of the screen to check for any pending invites. Tap on Build to see a confirmation on an available workbench to join the invite.

Boosts

Double the Growth Points you earn when you activate the Growth Boost!

Activate Growth Boost using Flutter Power, which you can purchase using Gems.

If you are working on a Terrarium with a partner, either of you can activate the Growth Boost. The boost can only be activated one at a time, and it will apply to both you and your partner.

This boost will be active for two (2) hours. However, if there’s only less than 2 hours left on the Terrarium Expiry, the Boost duration will be the same as the timer.
