ELIGIBILITY: OPEN BY INVITATION ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, WHO ARE 18 OR OLDER AND HAVE A VALID WORDS WITH FRIENDS ACCOUNT (“The Game”). VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Employees and their immediate families (parents, children, spouse, or siblings, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related, of Zynga Inc. (“Sponsor”), Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., and their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliated companies, and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, the Sponsor’s Terms of Service (www.take2games.com/legal/), and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are binding and final on matters relating to this sweepstakes. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and local laws.

 

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: Zynga’s Become a Solo Star: Words With Friends Sweepstakes! 

(“Sweepstakes”) begins at 9:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (“PDT”) on July 21, 2026 and ends at 11:59 PM PDT on July 28, 2026 (“Sweepstakes Period”).

 

TO ENTER: To enter the Sweepstakes, players must take all the following actions during the Sweepstakes Period:

  1. Locate an official Sweepstakes feed post, reel, or video on one of the official Words With Friends social media pages listed below; and
  2. Comment a word they’d like added to the Words With Friends in-game dictionary; and
  3. Tag a friend in the same comment.

Completing all three (3) of these steps will award a player one (1) entry. Eligible players may enter an unlimited number of times during the Sweepstakes Period and may submit multiple entries across any and all of the listed platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok), including using the same word and/or tagging the same friend. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same Zynga user ID, Player ID, or email address. All entries must be received by 11:59 PM PDT on July 28, 2026. Entries generated by script, mechanical, macro, or other automated means or by any means which subvert the entry process are void. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

If you do not have a Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok account, establishing an account is free. All Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok terms apply (as applicable). Entrant’s social media account must be public during the promo period to receive a direct message from Sponsor (see “Drawing & Winner Notification” Section).

If you choose to enter using your mobile device, standard data fees may apply.  You should consult your wireless service provider's pricing plan for details.  You agree to incur any and all charges demanded by your wireless carrier. You should also check your device's features for capabilities and check the device manual for specific use instructions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Entry must be in keeping with Sponsor’s image and not be offensive or inappropriate, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Entry must not defame or violate or infringe upon the rights of any person or entity. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify and remove any Entry that it determines, in its sole discretion, is not in compliance with these Official Rules or is otherwise not fit for a general audience or in good taste.

 

DRAWING & WINNER NOTIFICATION: Potential winner will be selected in a random drawing held within four (4) days after the end of the Sweepstakes Period. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The potential winner will be notified by direct message on the social media platform where the selected entry was made and may be required to execute and return a Declaration of Eligibility, Liability, and, unless prohibited, Publicity Release within seven (7) days of sending paperwork.

 

Potential winner’s social media account must be set to 'public' or configured to receive direct messages from Sponsor through the end of the Promotion Period. Sponsor is not responsible for changes to potential winner’s account privacy settings, message delivery failures, or unmonitored inbox folders. If a potential winner is unable to be contacted, fails to respond within forty-eight (48) hours of the initial notification attempt, fails to return all required documentation within the time period stated, or if a prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, or a potential winner is otherwise not in compliance with these rules, the applicable prize will be forfeited. At Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner may be selected for the applicable prize. Only one (1) alternate winner will be selected for any prize, after which the applicable prize shall remain unawarded.

 

PRIZES (1): Upon confirmation of the potential winner’s eligibility and execution of necessary release agreements, one (1) winner (“Winner”) will have their suggested word added to the Words With Friends in-game dictionary and have their likeness adapted by Sponsor’s art team and placed into the Words With Friends game as a Solo Challenge Character (“Prize”). Winner will need to provide clear photos of their face to aid in the creation of the Prize. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prize is an in-game virtual good which has no monetary value. Winner is not entitled to any compensation for use of their likeness in Words With Friends or any marketing thereof; the entire Prize is inclusion in Words With Friends in a manner determined by Sponsor. All creative decisions regarding the prize, including but not limited to the final cartoon images, character design, and implementation, shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion.

 

Prize is awarded “as-is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, except the legal warranty (including the warranty for hidden defects) owed by the manufacturer of the products awarded as Prizes. All federal, state, provincial, and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes), if any, are the sole responsibility of the Winner. The Winner may not substitute, assign or transfer Prize, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute the Prize or any part of the Prize for a prize of comparable or greater value. 

 

WINNER CONDITIONS: To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to conduct background checks on potential Winner.  Potential Winner must provide authorization and/or complete any forms reasonably required to facilitate such background check.  Failure to comply with such search may result in disqualification and may result in selection of an alternate Winner.  Sponsor also reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify a potential Winner based on the results of such background check, if the Sponsor determines, in its sole and absolute discretion that awarding this opportunity to such potential Winner might reflect negatively on the Sweepstakes, Sponsor, and/or the Released Entities.  Factors that may result in disqualification of a potential Winner or guest include, without limitation, conviction of a felony or misdemeanor, or any other criminal or civil offense as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor or, if Sponsor determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, that awarding a prize status to such individual may reflect unfavorably on the Sweepstakes, Sponsor, and/or the Released Entities.

 

Winner may be required to provide Sponsor with a valid social security number, or country equivalent, before the Prize will be awarded for tax reporting purposes. An IRS Form 1099 may be issued in the name of the Winner for the actual value of the prizes received. The Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for and will not replace a lost, mutilated or stolen Prize if not due to the fault of the Released Parties or if the Prize that is undeliverable or does not reach the Winner because of an incorrect or changed address.

 

PUBLICITY GRANT: Each winner, by acceptance of prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use their name, address (city and state/province), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, in any manner, worldwide in perpetuity, without notice or review or approval.

 

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Entrants, by participating, agree that Sponsor, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc, Meta Platforms Inc., TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC., and their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliated companies, service agencies, independent contractors, advertising and promotion agencies, web hosting and service and fulfillment providers, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes-related activity or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any awarded Prize (including any travel or activity related thereto).

 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will the Released Parties be responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered or garbled entries, emails, phone calls, or communications of any kind; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the Prize or in any Sweepstakes-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading materials from or use of the website. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Sweepstakes or website, who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Should any portion of the Sweepstakes be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the Winner from all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to action taken using the winner determination procedure outlined above or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor.

 

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

 

DISPUTES; GOVERNING LAW: THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE INTERPRETATION OF ITS TERMS SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK WITHOUT REGARD TO ITS CONFLICTS OF LAWS RULES. Entrant residents in the United States of America hereby waive all rights to trial in any action or proceeding instituted in connection with these Official Rules, including, without limitation, the Sweepstakes. Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Official Rules and/or the Sweepstakes shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association and hereby agree that any such controversy or claim shall be arbitrated on an individual basis, and shall not be consolidated in any arbitration with any claim or controversy of any other party. The arbitration shall be conducted in the State of New York, City of New York.

 

USE OF DATA: All personal data submitted to, or collected by, Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, will be processed by Sponsor and/or its data processors in accordance with its privacy policy for the sole purposes of conducting, administering and marketing the Sweepstakes. Please review the Sponsor’s privacy policy at https://www.take2games.com/privacy/en-US/. By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants hereby acknowledge that: (i) they have read and accepted the Sponsor’s privacy policy; (ii) Sponsor has a valid and legitimate interest in processing their personal data for these purposes; and (iii) Sponsor’s legitimate interests are not outweighed by entrant’s own interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
