Greetings House Leaders,

A new update has arrived! Read on to learn more about new features, tuning, and bug fixes for the newest Game of Thrones: Legends release!

New

  • New: Learn and try out new Champions in our new Proving Grounds event type. We’re kicking off the Proving Grounds with none other than winter’s deadliest Champions… White Walkers! Experiment with the new FEAR effect, and see how it behaves on both the attack and defense sides of battle, then take on the Starks and the Greens with these powerful Champions in two challenge battles. Complete all 6 battles for some amazing rewards! This event will start rolling out to players after this release.

The White Walkers and Craster introduce 2 new concepts to battle. FEAR - an effect that, on the attack side, adds turns to enemy basic attacks, and on the defensive side, spawns FEAR Gem hazards that do no damage and generate no Stamina. Also, the REINFORCE keyword (as a trigger), which is a term that encompasses any Champion ability that causes another Champion to enter the battle. REVIVE is an example of this.

Legendary Protector: The Ice Warden

This menacing warden spreads fear and protects his undead kin by crippling their assailants’ ability to attack. When his team is reinforced, he’ll support them with stealth, share his immunity to ice, but, in turn, his weakness to fire.

Skill - Stab Of Cold (Slow)

  • The Warden Deals 100%-150% ATK Unnatural Damage to all enemies, reduces their Stamina by -10% and has a 75%-100% chance to inflict them with up to 2 FEAR. (On defense he has a 75%-100% chance to spawn up to 8 FEAR Gem Hazards)

Passive - Winter’s Advance

  • The Warden is immune to ICE but begins combat with -15% Fire Resistance. When an ally REINFORCES, it gains STEALTH and ICE immunity for 5 turns, and afflicts the enemy team with FEAR.

Leader - They Weren't Dead

  • When an ally REINFORCES, if the Warden is your team Leader, that ally is PACIFIED for 4-3 turns and gains +60% Stamina.

Legendary Mender: Craster

While associated with the Night’s Watch, Craster is a selfish man who takes care of Craster first, and plays both sides. He’ll deal damage to enemies and protect himself while reinforcing allies with healing and shields.

Skill - Unholy Tribute (Normal)

  • Craster grants target ally a +15%-20% ATK SHIELD, then he deals Unnatural Damage equal to 75%-110% of his HP Pool to a random enemy.

Passive - Replenish The Ranks

  • Whenever an ally is REINFORCED, they are HEALED for 5%-11% of Craster's HP Pool. Then both they and Craster gain a SHIELD equal to 7%-16% Craster's Max HP

Leader - A Godly Man

  • Whenever an ally gains a SHIELD, if Craster is the team Leader, he has a 50% chance to REMOVE a Debuff from both himself and that ally.

Epic Protector: Unyielding Wight

An extremely durable creature that should not be ignored in battle. When the battle turns in his team’s favor, his ability to revive is strengthened, as well as his damage output.

Skill - Unnatural Abomination (Slow)

  • The Wight deals 115%-175% ATK Unnatural Damage to a single enemy, then HEALS for 15%-25%.

Passive - Undying Terror

  • Whenever an enemy is defeated, the Wight gains Unending Horror. When the Wight is defeated, if they have Unending Horror, they REVIVE with 20%-25% HP. When the Wight REVIVES, it deals 200%-250% ATK Unnatural Damage to a random enemy.

Common Fighter: Skeletal Wight

Spreading destruction, fear and reviving makes him the undead grunt every White Walker team needs.

Skill - Granting Death (Fast)

  • The Wight strikes 3 random enemies for 35%-60% ATK Unnatural Damage. Each strike has a 75%-100% chance to afflict that enemy with FEAR.

Passive - Shambling Corpse

  • The first time the Wight is defeated, it REVIVES with 30%-40% HP.
  • Red God’s Altar Rewards: We have completely overhauled rewards in the Red God’s Altar, making them much more valuable. The Altar will rotate between three sets of rewards, as it does now. Each set will have new potential rewards, including Gold, Splendid Summon Tokens, and Champion shards for Melisandre, Beric Dondarrion, or Stannis Baratheon. One of the potential rewards will be 100 shards of the featured character, by far the largest reward ever offered in the Red God’s Altar! These new rewards will become available shortly after this release.

Bug Fixes

Champions and Enemies Fixes

  • Ramsay Bolton’s passive ability should now properly trigger when he lands a critical strike.
  • Fixed Otto Hightower's Stamina gain not scaling based on BIRTHRIGHT.

Gameplay Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where event notifications would appear during battles.
  • Fixed issue where incorrect buffs would be shown in the Global Effects menu during Rook's Rest battles.

Raids Fixes

  • Fixed bugs related to viewing the event Top 100 leaderboards in certain situations.

Additional General Fixes

  • Fixed Trials UI occasionally getting stuck when spam tapping or dragging a Trial as the Trial nodes transition on-screen

Coming Soon

  • We’re looking into a fix for an issue where bringing some Champions to battle that destroy Gems on enemy defeat are causing wins to be losses, and we will have that addressed in an upcoming release.
  • Quarterly Tuning Pass: Moving forward, unless a Champion or gameplay issue is egregiously affecting players, we’re going to be implementing major tuning passes on a quarterly basis. This means that we’ll be monitoring issues as we come across them and working on tuning plans for them to release in the Quarterly Tuning Pass. This tuning pass can include updates and fixes to over/underperforming faction mechanics and status effects, Champions that might need tuning to keep PvP balanced, or inconsistencies in Champion abilities and upgrades.

Be on the lookout for details of our first Quarterly Tuning Pass in our upcoming patch notes. We thank you, our community, for continuing to provide us with helpful and constructive feedback on topics like Champion tuning and balance. Your feedback is important to us and helps us shape the future of our game.
