Marie has finally convinced the Town Council to host the biggest and grandest event FarmVille 2 has ever seen! A gathering of farmers from all over the county, coming together to celebrate the greatness of farming. Marie has come to invite you to the event. To participate read below.
If you are Level 25 or above , then “Backyard Barbecue!” popup will appear. Click the “Let’s Go!” button to get started.
Note: Please refresh your game if it doesn’t appear.
Marie will come to greet and introduce the event to you.
Once you finish talking to her. Click on Backyard Barbecue building to open the event.
The event will now open for you, and Marie will walk you through it. Backyard Barbecue card will also appear on the left side of your screen, and it looks like this:
Don’t forget to turn on the Audio option 
, from the right side of your screen, for a surprise.
Marie is all spruced up and ready to take you through the event.
Welcome to Backyard Barbecue, where you can get amazing exclusive rewards just by doing your regular farm activities.
All of your available tasks are displayed here. Each task is unique and relates to other events happening around your farm as well as normal day to day farm activities.
Once you’ve completed a task, click the ‘Claim’ button to collect Pass Points.
All Pass Points you collect are shown in the Level bar. The Level bar shows the Pass Points requirement for the Next Target Level.
Tasks
These are your Daily Tasks, which refreshes every 24 hours. These are very easy to do and you can finish them by just doing your daily farm activities.
These are your Season Tasks. Every week new tasks will get unlocked. These are a variety of tasks from different events happening around your farm.
You can progress on these tasks by progressing in the event it is related to. If the event timer expires so will the task related to the event. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Note: If you don’t have the event on your farm, you can simply click the button for the Season Task and the event will popup for you.
When a task expires, you can easily refresh it, by clicking on the ‘Refresh’ button on top of it.
Refreshing the task will give you a new task, with the exact same amount of Pass Points. The new task that appears does not have a timer on it. So you can finish it at your own pace.
To see more details about each task, hover over the ‘?’ button. Since there are many new & unique tasks, it’s always recommended to see the details before proceeding.
These are special tasks. These grant more points than other regular tasks.
You can complete these tasks, but you’ll be able to claim the Pass Points only after purchasing the Season or Elite Pass.
Levels, Levelling Up & Fortune Box
Every time you Level Up on your Season or Elite Pass, you will be greeted by this message. Leveling up unlocks new rewards. Claim all unlocked rewards anytime before the event expires.
The Pass Level has increased to “40”, but don’t worry, each of your tasks give more points now so you can still complete the pass on time.
Not just that we also have the new Fortune Box.
Fortune Box:
After you complete all 40 Levels, Fortune Box unlocks. You can open Fortune Boxes as many times as you can, all you have to do is increase your Pass Level. Get 1 Fortune Box at every level up.
You can get Special Guaranteed Rewards after opening the Box 12 & 25 times.
Open 12 times to get an Obsidian Shovel (Season & Elite Pass), open 25 times to get an Instabloom Machine (Elite Pass Exclusive).

These are the Free Pass rewards. You have full access to these rewards. Each time you level up you can claim the available rewards.
These are the Season Pass rewards. You can gain full access to these rewards by purchasing the Season Pass.

Season or Elite Pass rewards can be claimed once you’ve purchased the Season Pass or Elite Pass respectively.
Once you reach Level 40, you will receive the reward based on which Pass you have purchased.

Once you place it on the farm, you can access the catalogs & choose any one unlocked boost. Click ‘Activate’ to turn on the Boost for 4 hours. After Boost is finished, Jukebox goes on a cooldown for 24 hours. You can again use it once it comes out of the cooldown. |

Elite Store:
After purchasing the Elite Pass, you get full access to the Elite Store. Visit the Elite Store daily to claim a Free reward.
Every time you claim an Elite Reward, 120 Elite Tokens are claimed along with it and get added to your Elite Token Counter.
You can redeem any of the rewards from the Elite Store using these Elite Tokens.
These 2 rewards can be claimed only using Elite Tokens.
All of the following rewards can be bought using FarmBucks. Save up on your FarmBucks and get fantastic discounts on resource packs, decorations & animals by using the Elite Tokens.
E.g. - Baby Bottle 80 Pack, is 52 FarmBucks in General Store, but in the Elite Store you only pay 47 FarmBucks & 85 Elite Tokens.

Once Marie finishes explaining the event, the Pass Purchase message pops up. You can buy at that moment or click on the Close button to close the message.
Click the button below the Season Pass Rewards section to buy the Season Pass & Click the button below the Elite Pass Rewards section to buy the Elite Pass.
You can also hover on the “i” button to view all the special rewards, as shown below:
Alternatively you can access this message by clicking on Buy Pass in any of the sections in the Event, as shown below:
Note: If you haven’t purchased any passes, then all special tasks after completing are shown as above, clicking “Buy”, will open the Pass Purchase message. You can only claim the Points after purchasing any of the passes.

Twin Task
We’ve introduced a new type of task, called the Twin Tasks. You can progress on either of the tasks inside the Twin Task.
But you can only claim Pass Points from one task. So the choice is yours.
